Renewable energies

The most mature and cost effective solutions for converting solar power in electricity are currently not photovoltaic but entail CSP (Concentrating Solar Power) technology.
Many power plants nowadays use fossil fuels as a heat source to boil water. The steam from boiling water drives a large turbine, which activates a generator which, as a result, produces electricity. However, a new generation of power plants, with concentrating solar power systems, uses the sun as heat source.
